THE CENSOLUTIONS BS EN 1279 CMS SCHEME FOR INSULATED SEALED GLASS UNITS
Compliance with BS EN 1279-:2004 is mandatory for any business manufacturing ‘Sealed Glass Units’ for buildings/construction. Further more it also become a mandatory requirement for sealed units to be CE Marked in line with ‘The Construction Products Regulation’.

1: IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FPC TO BS EN 1279 CLAUSE 5.3
You are required to have a system of ‘Factory Production Control’ for your sealed glass unit production.
CENSolutions can implement a full ‘Quality Management System’ for your business, this will include ‘In-Process Inspections’ on your sealant, desiccant etc, as well as ‘Final Inspection’. We can introduce procedures & processes to assist in recording ‘Non-conformance’ both in your production & suppliers. Included in the implementation will be the training of your staff on the quality checks and recording the results correctly.
2: THE INITIAL TYPE TESTING OF SEALED GLASS UNITS
Through our co-operation with TÜV Rheinland Netherlands, we can offer ‘Initial Type Testing’ to EN 1279:2 (Air Filled Units) & EN 1279:3 (Argon Filled Units)
3: THE PERIODIC TESTING OF SEALED GLASS UNITS
It is a mandatory requirement to have your units periodically (annually) tested in line with BS EN 1279:6. Here at CENSolutions we have our own unit testing laboratory in Penkridge, Staffordshire.
3: ON-GOING SURVEILLANCE & CERTIFICATION
Our BS EN 1279 Sealed Unit Certification Scheme is industry recognised and accepted alongside The British Standards Institute Kitemark Scheme by key specifiers such as The NHBC. The requirements of the scheme are our CENSolutions to carry out bi-annual audits (two audits per year) of your systems & processes, we can also collect your periodic test units during one of the audit visits.
