CENSolutions Shares Expertise at Building Control Workshop

CENSolutions’ Wayne Rogerson and Brendan Ruddy are pleased to announce their involvement in the Workshop for Building Control on Thursday 9th July at Custom House in Dublin.

Organised by the Environment, Community and Local Government, the workshop’s aim is to launch Ireland’s involvement in a pan-European Market Surveillance Campaign on Windows and Doors, but also to update authorized officers on new Building Regulations and expand on existing legislation in specific areas.

“Brendan and I will be providing visitors with more information on EN 14351-1:2006+A1:2010,” says Wayne, Joint Managing Director of CENSolutions, “to ensure they fully understand the intricacies of the standard for windows and pedestrian doorsets covering all materials (PVC-U, timber, aluminium and steel). We will particularly be placing a lot of emphasis on clause 4.10 – Ability to release (Escape Routes – Push Pad/Push Bar Emergency exits). I will be giving a presentation on the day but both Brendan and I will be on hand for the entire workshop to answer any specific questions too.

“From day one of CENSolutions, 11 years ago now, we set out to not only provide the necessary certification to customers, but also to offer advice and support wherever needed. We do this by translating what can sometimes be fairly complex standards that are open to interpretation, into plain English that manufacturers, installers and specifiers find useful.”
